Local.ch has established a strong position in Switzerland bringing in a number of additional local content feeds (classifieds for example). They also have a very robust mechanism for refining some searches by time.

Search for Furniture on Local.CH generates a disambiguation page for both companies and classifieds.
Listings and Map view are balanced on the Results page for Local.ch. There isn't a separate view for either.
Refinement in Local.ch is limited to different cities or different categories. The categories seem to be only tangentially related to the core user search.
The landing page for a business listing on Local.ch provides a combination of satellite imagery and road iconography.
The Leisure section on Local.ch centers on exposing different events, movies, theaters and museums. A 'When' refinement is added that provides a very colloquial way of expressing time-based refinement.
A search for Concerts in Bern shows a very sophisticated way of refining event results based on specific date or by more colloquial expressions, such as 'next week-end'.

A search in the Car Market on Local.ch returns individual listings apparently extracted from a 3rd Party Source.
While the individual automobile listing is user-generated it's provided from a 3rd Party source. Additional meta information is extracted and presented as well (color, mileage, and registration). The meta information can apparently not be used in further refinement.
