The search was limited to just funky hotels in NYC. Notice this isn't a semantic search as it's just matching against keywords. "No funky smells" is not the sense of funky that is implied in the search.

Units can be searched by the company provider but it's unclear on the page whether this is company or a private listing. Note special support for student rentals as well.
